Pump House Project In The Final Stages

It has been a fun experience with our new addition.  The pump station took a little tweaking after charge-up but has been working great since.  The pressure course wide has dramatically improved, irrigation breaks are reducing and if we do experience a break, the pump station shuts down, saving us precious water.  We are in the final stage of insulation and drywall and then onto seeding the disturbed soil.  We will be planting a native mix of Smooth Broom, Tall Fescue, Wheatgrass and Orchard Grass.

Grounds Crew Time!

I want to thank all the employees that work in the Maintenance crew.  They have worked very hard this summer getting the course back into great shape.  It was not a surprise that we came out of winter in rough shape, but with hard work and determination, the course is looking just fine!  In late June, we had our first employee cook out.  It was a great day of stuffing our face, playing horse shoes and talking golf.

On July 17th, we celebrated Monte's 79th birthday.  We celebrated with an ice cream cake, which turned out to be the best after a hard day of work in the sun.  Monte has been working at Arrowhead for the last 19 years, but the last 6 with us in maintenance. He keeps the crew on their toes everyday and it would not be the same place without him.  Thanks Monte for all you do...time is money!
